AUTHOR

Liverpool born, Liverpool bred, and Liverpool to the core, Haig Barclay has had the fortune to travel extensively in his career and to live a number of lives.

These lives have led to deep reflection on the state of mankind and the Universe in which we reside. Reflection can often lead to despair and although some of life’s facets cause anguish what shines through in this RAW collection is hope, inspiration, and love of life and nature. RAW is Barclay’s first collection and comprises some philosophical and existential works from years ago and a number of recent efforts looking at man’s association with nature and the essential elements concerning the life force.

He has wanted to accompany the poems with ‘personal takes’ so as to prompt the attention of the reader and pursue his intent of making poetry available to an ever wider public.

Descriptive, delectable in style, devastating at times, reassuring at times, the collection demands the reader to relate the experiences penned to his or her own circumstance and destiny.
